
Nathan Lowery
Mr. Lowery is an experienced litigator and trial attorney, focusing on employment-related disputes, real estate litigation, and general business litigation. He has handled large-scale, complex actions including multi-district litigation, class and collective actions, and representative actions under the Private Attorneys General Act of 2004 (“PAGA”). Mr. Lowery defends employers of all sizes—from sole proprietorships to multi-national corporations—from virtually all employment-relating claims including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and all manner of wage and hour disputes. Mr. Lowery is equally well-versed in California and Federal administrative proceedings and regularly handles claims for employers before the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Department of Fair Employment and Housing.
As part of his real estate litigation practice, Mr. Lowery defends landlords of commercial and residential property from a variety of claims including breach of contract, latent defect, habitability, and mold.
Mr. Lowery has also been successful defending class actions brought under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (“TCPA”).
Mr. Lowery is a science enthusiast and keeps abreast of current research and discoveries. This is not just a hobby, it greatly aids in his litigation practice as scientific evidence becomes an increasingly integral part of litigation practice—particularly with regard to mold and toxic tort claims.
Education
Mr. Lowery received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science – American Politics from UCLA in 2002. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2005.
Mr. Lowery is a member of the University of San Diego Law Review.
