
Walter J. Sawicki
Walter J. Sawicki is a litigator and business attorney. He has over 20 years of litigation experience in state and federal courts, arbitration and mediation. He has experience in complex business litigation and employment law, having defended large corporations against a broad range of issues affecting employers. He also has experience representing creditors in bankruptcy court. He has worked in law firms and in private practice. Before joining Levinson Arshonsky Kurtz & Komsky in 2022, for 8 years he ran his own firm representing insurance brokers and real estate companies in an advisory capacity and in litigation defense.
Because of his wide business experience, Mr. Sawicki understands the needs of businesses for efficient and cost-effective solutions. He has the ability to communicate complex issues efficiently and understandably to busy professionals.
Outside of the office, Mr. Sawicki enjoys traveling and, in particular, learning (mostly awkwardly) new languages.
Education
Mr. Sawicki is a graduate of Gould School of Law at the University of Southern California, Order of the Coif, where he was also a member of the Southern California Law Review. After law school, he clerked on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals for the Hon. Cynthia Holcomb Hall. During law school, Mr. Sawicki also clerked at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. in the agency’s fraud division. He attended Columbia University in New York, where he graduated with a BA in philosophy, Magna Cum Laude.

Mr. Sawicki is a member of the L.A. County Bar Association and serves each year as a judge at the Loyola Law School National Civil Trial Competition.
